Regarding the gastronomic offer of Sovata and the area it is located in, we can say that the visitor can enjoy a wide and varied offer. Besides the offer of general, regular menus, one can taste meals and drinks specific to this micro-region. We can say that the tourist facilities provide the tourist with proper accommodation and quality cuisine. These local specialties can be sampled almost in all the resort's restaurants, but also in the micro-region's restaurants.

The tourist can also taste local food during the cultural and leisure events organized in Sovata and in the neighbouring area. Such events are: Bear Lake Days in Sovata (held each year in late May), the Pupkins Festival in Sovata (held every year in late October), Sarmale's Festival in Praid (held every year in September), the Balloons Parade in Câmpul Cetății (held every year in September), the celebration days of the villages in the area (Sărăţeni, Chibed, Praid, Corund).
